Member Group Events European Unitarian Universalists
An extraordinary speaker, a historic and beautiful setting and the simple gifts of fellowship, fun and music are sure to enrich your lives. “A Sense of Place” – that’s the topic that Unitarian Universalists of all ages, from all over Europe, will explore at our Fall retreat, to be held in a really beautiful place overlooking the Rhine River in Germany. Oberwesel is a major winegrowing center, with steeply terraced vineyards, and the town’s history dates back to Roman times or even earlier. Our speaker, the Rev. Derek McCullough, is coming to us from Christchurch, New Zealand, so you will also get a chance to find about UUs in a place halfway around the world. The weekend will offer a complete program of activities for young people as well as adults, and we can promise a stimulating exchange of ideas, time for walks in the woods, the vineyards or the lovely town, the chance to make and renew friendships, opportunities to create and enjoy good music, and a great deal of good fellowship. Prices are very reasonable and family-friendly; for shared double-room occupancy: adults – 180€ (EUU members – 170€), young adults – 120€, teens – 50€, children – 30€, under 3 – free. EUU encourages any of our members who feel they cannot attend a retreat due to financial concerns to please take advantage of our Grant Fund. Read more on www.europeanuu.org. Registration online is open now. We hope you’ll join us. We look forward to welcoming you! The Retreat Committee ALL ARE WELCOME
